Life at the Pole Contest

Here's my latest project, it's a cute little shadow box that I had a blast making for the Sassafras Lass contest. They have an ad for their new line Life at the Pole, it's a cute desktop diorama and it's in the new Scrapbook etc. magazine. I just love this line, it's so darn adorable.

2008 Christmas Card Picture

Here it is, our christmas card picture finally done! Okay, I took the lazy way out this year LOL No dressing the boys up and trying to get the perfect picture for our christmas cards. I took one of my favorite pictures of Michael and Maxwell from the summer and doctored it up! I found this cool website: http://fotoflexer.com/ added some fun santa hats and text and viola ~ done in a flash! The site is amazing and has some really great stuff, definately check it out. The best part is it's free!

Cupcakes in Bloom!

1-800-Flowers has a new floral cupcake arrangement! I saw the ad for this on the side of buses here in the city awhile ago and now I see it everyday. Being a big cupcake fan, I think this is so darn adorable and it got the wheels in my head turning. How cool would it be to re-create this. This is going to be my next project once the holidays are over. I'll have instructions and pictures coming in the future! :)

While Maxwell and I were walking home last night, we noticed that a couple of the houses in our complex were already lit up with beautiful Christmas lights and decorations. Growing up we lived in a garden apartment complex, so we couldn’t decorate outside. My parents finally got their own house but they still never decorated outside for Christmas, I guess because they never did all those years. I myself have never decorated my old home either. Well, Maxwell says to me; “Mom, when I’m a Dad I’m going to decorate my house with lights”. I thought that was so cute and I said to him: “oh really, for your kiddos right?” and he said yes. I thought it was so funny talking to my 7 ½ year old about him being a dad one day, but I guess before I know it that day will be here!

My first post :)

Hello and welcome to my new blog! I'm super excited to get this up and running. Hope you all enjoy :)
