Make your own bling flourishes!!!

This is a tutorial that I had posted over at Butterfly Crafts. I haven't done a tutorial here in so long, so I thought I would share it all with you!

This was a cool idea that I got from a fellow scrapper, but I adapted it a little. Here's how I did mine in the layout below:
1) I found a copy of flourishes that I liked, this picture is of a Prima bead flourish. I made a screen print and pasted the image in MS Word, then I adjusted it to the size I wanted and printed:
2) Then I took a tack pin and punched holes in each spot. When you turn in over you can see all the hole punches:
3) Then I put my template on my layout and marked each hole with a pen:
4) Then I took my Stickles glitter glue and dotted each mark. Here's the final layout:
Hope you all enjoy this tutorial. Please share your projects, I'd love to see them!

Back from Vacation!

Hi everyone. Wow it's been so long since I've blogged, my poor blog has been suffering since I've been blocked out at work.

Well, I was on vacation this week and had a great time. We spent two days in Lancaster, Pa. The 1st day we went to Dutch Wonderland which is a really cute amusement/water park. Our 2nd day we went outlet shopping and visited Kitchen Kettle Village. Our last day we drove to Hersey, Pa. We went to Hersey Gardens which was so beautiful, did some more shopping at Hersey Outlets (hey you can't get too much shopping in) and then we went to Hershey Chocolate World. We saw the 3D Chocolate Show which was fantastic and we bought so much chocolate. The boys had to buy one of each candy that Hersey makes! Here's some pics:One of the beautiful roses at Hershey Gardens.

We also went to see Julie and Julia which was such a great film! I'm so tired, tomorrow is back to work and the usual routine. My boys have 4 more weeks of vacation left. I can't believe it's August and the stores have fall stuff out already. It seems like every year all the holiday stuff comes out earlier and earlier!
Hope you all have a wonderful week ahead.
Hugs,
