Dirty Scraps ~ New Challenge!

The dt girls did a fantastic job with there layouts. Come on over and check out the new challenge. Can't wait to see what you do!!!

Dirty Scraps Challenge No. 4 : In Your Eyes

When I talk to the people I love or friends I often ask myself 'Who are they looking at? What glasses are they using?' It's amazing how much less/more critical we would be on ourselves if we saw what others saw. So this challenge is to Scrap a page through someone else's eyes.
Either how someone see YOU (ask them or journal words they have used before) Or scrap a page about how you see someone else. I mean how you REALLY see them. Why they see you that way? Why you see them that way? Think about it and reflect, it might give you some new insight or even compassion (for others or yourself).
Now go get dirty!"

NVS Challenge #2

When I saw the challenge collage over at NVS I knew I had to do it. I love the color combo: aqua and red with black and white. This is also for my critique groups BWC to scrap something from the past decade. I went with shoes cause I love them LOL TFL :)

New Challenge over at Christian Crafters!

I have a new faithbook challenge that I'm hosting over at Christian Crafters. My challenge is to find your favorite bible verse on love and scrap it. Your project must have one heart on it. Come on over and check it out!!!

P12 January 2010

Hi everyone! I wanted to share my P12 January calendar page that I made for the Creative Scrapbooking Divas P12 group. I love the way it turned out and I'm going to be doing one for each month. I already started on February and I made sure to take a lot more pictures.

Dirty Scraps~New Challenge is now up!

All I can say is WOW! The girls on the Dirty Scraps design team totally rocked this new challenge!

Here's my layout that I did for the challenge. It was very theraputic for me and a little scary to share something with so many that I normally don't talk about. I've been wanting to do this layout for so long, so this challenge was perfect for it.

Here's the challenge details, I hope you all can take part!

Challenge No. 3: Broken Relationships

Broken, that's the keyword for this week... we all have broken relationships, whether it be an ex boyfriend, an ex husband/wife, a broken relationship with a friend, or even God.

So this week's challenge is to scrap a broken relationship. Heck you could have broken off your relationship with cigarettes, or Dr. Pepper! LOL Make the challenge work for YOU, after all it's YOUR book and YOUR page, just get down or have fun and make it light ~

NOW GO GET DIRTY!

February Fun Things to Share!!!

Hi everyone. Well, it's been awhile since I posted and it's already February. Where did January go??? I've been busy as usual lately, working, taking care of the kiddos and working on my scrappy projects. My little boy Maxwell's birthday is coming up this Sunday, Valentine's Day, so we've been getting ready for that. The boys have off all next week for mid-winter recess too.

Oh, I've been contemplating for awhile now starting a Etsy shop and selling some of my items locally. There's going to be a local flea market coming up in May and I want to make some cards and altered items and see how well they sell. I just gotta get moving on them. I would really appreciate any feedback from anyone who already has an Etsy shop too.

Okay, I wanted to share some of my latest projects. But before I do, I wanted to share about this yearly project that I'm participating in. You all have most likely heard of Project 365. Well last year I started doing it but I only made it to March. It was just too much to keep up with. Well, this year I decided to scale it down a little bit so I would be able to keep up with it all year long. My friend Toccara and some of her friends started a new scrappy site,
Creative Scrapbooking Divas and they are having a Project 12 Monthly Review Layouts Event that I'm partipating in. My friend Bethany got me a Martha Stewart scrapbook kit for one of our swaps that we did together, it's a cute little binder. I was going to use it just for my December Daily 2010 but now I decided to use it for all year long. Each month I'm going to make a little calendar page to put inside and I will be putting tiny pictures and journaling in each box. The event is running from January to April 2010 and the hostess is awarding a prize per quarter.

I got my first DT layout done for Dirty Scraps, it was very theraputic for me and it was so good to scrap about a subject that I would normally never talk about. Challenge No. 3 will be up sometime this week, I will post when it's up.

This is the Fluff n'Fold sign that I made for my sister. She's a stay-at-home mom and it seem like every time me or my mom talk to her she's doing wash LOL So she asked me to make her a sign for her laundry room. I decided to make some clothes on a clothes line, one for each family member and I found the little clothespins in Michaels which was the perfect touch.

I also made some cards this weekend. A baby onesie card for a new baby and a purse card for a Sweet 16 party that my son got invited to.

And finally a reminder, the We Said... He Said contest over at Christian Crafters is still going on. There's plenty of time to participate and the winner will receive a $50 Michaels gift card.

Hugs, Marlene

PS: Thank you to everyone who stops by my little blog, your comments and feedback is so appreciated :)
