hello...

It's been one of those really busy and crazy weeks.

Tuesday August 23, 2011 I experienced the earthquake that hit VA, DC & NY.

I still can't believe it, I never thought I'd experience an earthquake!

Me and my friend were talking and all of a sudden our chairs starting shaking and we started feeling dizzy.

It seemed to last forever and it was so scary.

Now Hurricane Irene is coming towards NY.

I'm actually watching the news online as I type getting all the information.

Where I live is not right on the coast of the island so we don't have to evacuate.

We're prepared to stay in all weekend and ride out the storm.

The good news is that I'm on vacation this week!!!

Hope everyone in the storms path is safe and sound.

I'll be praying that God keeps us all under His care.

Food Smash!!!

Hi guys!

I wanted to share my newest "smashbook" that I made: Food Smash.

I was totally inspired by a mini album made by GingerCupcakeCards on YouTube.

I decided to make a little Smash book to hold all my recipes and also to have a place to write down my favorite foods and their Weight Watchers points value.  I broke it down into sections: breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.

I used a lot of the Sassafras Cherry Delicious line and some other lines mixed in.

I sewed the pages together with embroidery floss.

Sparkly Nail Polish!

Hi guys, I just wanted to share a really cool product I found yesterday!

I was in a desperate need of a pedicure and for some reason I really wanted to get some glitter nail polish.

I didn't want to spend a ton of money on getting my nails done or buying expensive polishes.

So I went to the drug store and I found these awesome Wet n Wild Fast Dry polishes.

They're only $1.99 a bottle and the quick drying was great, I was able to do a manicure and pedicure in no time flat!  You can check out all the colors here, I picked up these two:

I combined the two polishes and I love how it looks.

Happy Monday!

I know, I know... Monday's are just horrible sometimes.  I wish the weekends could go on and on.

The family and I went to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes and it was really good, different from what I thought it would be like though.

I got no crafting done this weekend, I've been pretty laid back in that department lately.

Week in the Life 2011 ~ completed album!!!

Hello...

I've been busy this week finishing up my Week in the Life 2011 album.

I'm sorry I didn't share the last few days of my pictures.  It took me so long just to get them uploaded and edited, so I figured I'd just share the album once it was completed.

So here goes....

I used baseball trading card dividers for the pictures and I cut them down to 4x4 to fit in my album.

I kept a lot of receipts, labels and stuff like that from the week.

The journaling I did in MS Word and printed out, saved me from handwriting everything.

I used my Polaroid Instax camera some days and the rest of the days my cell phone camera.

I re-sized the pictures in MS Word and printed them out on sheets of photo paper.

I'm going to be putting in the rest of the years P12 layouts in this album also and I still need to decorate the cover.  I'll share when it's done.

I'm really liking the baseball trading card divers so much.  I think I may use them for next years P12 album.
