the next Travel Journal has arrived...

and is finished.  Val's travel journal arrived a couple of weeks ago and and sadly it's the last journal in the round that I had to work on.  I love Val's album, she has a really awesome style which I love.  It was fun to see this album when it arrived because all three girls had already worked on it and it was very great to see how each one did the prompts with their own styles.  I can't wait to get my album back now LOL

So here are the pages that I did for Val...

1) Tell me about your city/state: I did this is MS Word, easy peasy.  And by the way, I'm pretty much obsessed with this cork paper LOL

 2) Your favorite song: that's a hard one, to choose just one song.  Currently it's Chasing Pavements by Adele.  I just got her older album "19" and I can play that song over and over and not get tired of it.

3) Ten random things about me: I went crazy with the washi tape and covered the whole page in it LOL.  Inside the envelope I made a little fanfold insert with pictures.

4) Smash your favorite color: Man you think that I would have better green colors since it's my favorite color LOL  I've been hording that felt tree for ages too, it's old.

5) Share photos of scenic spots around your town: I found these pictures online and actually found out that there's a 9/11 Memorial on Staten Island which I had no clue.  I really want to check it out one day.

6) Postcard from your hometown: Gotta love NY :)

7) Photo of yourself: I added the Hello digital element over my picture.

8) Your favorite quote: again, hard to pick just one but this one is right up there and so true!  I was so inspired by the watercolor page that Renee did, that I decided to break out my watercolors and try them out.

9) Your favorite recipe: I love this recipe, it's one of my top favorites!!! Oh and the little clipboard paper clip is from Amy Tan, so cute!!!

10) Free page: I made a layout using Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe Collection.

Currently...

Drinking: lots and lots of water.

Eating: had a Thomas Everything Bagel Thin with turkey breast, light mayo and cranberry relish for lunch today.

Wearing: grey/black stripped shirt, belt, black dress pants & sporting sneakers to and from work since it's raining today.

Feeling: optomistic about the future knowing that God is in control.

Weather: rainy and cold, perfect weather to be in pj's all day and just be lazy.

Wanting: to watch Celebrity Apprentice from last night (I love that show!!!) and new eye glasses.  We went for an eye exam this weekend and my doctor told me I should be wearing my reading glasses when I'm on the computer.  So new glasses will be in order soon.

Thinking: that I'm going to postpone doing Week in the Life until maybe my birthday week, I'm just not prepared right now.

Wondering: how I'm going to setup my Week in the Life.  I started making my own folder sytems just like Heidi Swapp's Memory File, I just don't know how I want to setup the inside for each day.

Carrying: I carried two bags today.  My totebag had Mike's video games to mail and Val's travel journal.  Then I had my pocketbook which seems to be getting heavier and heavier.  In my bag: Kindle, eyeglasses, sunglasses, wallet, id holder, phone, headphones, tissues, handcream and an umbrella.

Project Life Weeks 14 and 15

Hey, it's been awhile since my last blog post.  I just haven't felt like blogging since last week, sometimes you just get like that LOL  I have been working on my Project Life album though, and I'm still really enjoying it.  For the month of April I decided to go with the larger page protector pockets from Martha Stewart and do a whole week across two pages.  I like this format, especially since I can use larger photos.  I've been having a blast using Instagram, so the majority of my pictures are done using it.

For Week 14 I used the DCWV Snapshot stack which I love.  Pretty straight forward, I did my journaling in MS Word and it's pretty simple.  I think this was just one of those weeks when I just wasn't feeling it, like I just wanted to get it done and I was rushing so it's not my favorite.

Oh and I found these tabs at Walmart and covered them with washi tape.  I'm using them as monthly dividers for my album - fun!!!

And here's Week 15 which so happens to be one of my favorites.  And it's funny because I usually plan ahead during the week what exactly I'm going to do and this week I just printed my pictures and just rolled with it.  I did get a lot of inspiration from this class at Two Peas in a Bucket.  I used a lot of papers from the American Crafts Chap line, I just love the colors.

So yeah, that's about it for now LOL  If you're doing PL and getting behind my advice is don't give up becuase it's so worth it!

I *heart* Instagram!

I'm so happy - Instagram is finally here for Android!!!

I've been stalking the store for weeks since I heard it was coming out.  I downloaded the app on Tuesday and I've been having fun playing around with the different settings and features.  The one thing I really love is the community.  It's great to see all my friend's pictures in one spot.

PL 2012 Week 13

Hello!!!

I'm back with another fun week of Project Life.

1) I used a Trader Joe's circular for the first pocket.  I *heart* TJs.

2) I had gotten new lace curtains and my DCWV Snapshot stack on Sunday.

3) My reflection on the bus going to work.

4) Yummy healthy lunch

5) New cell phone app: Angry Birds Space

6) What is planking?  I have no clue LOL  Max knows - I'm clueless.

7) Beautiful tulips all the way around the fountain.

8) Tag I made with washi tape, holds my receipt from Chipotle.

9) Bought "19" by Adele, awesome album!

April Photo-A-Day and my turn with Renee's Travel Journal...

Hi guys, Happy April!!!  Wow I can't believe it's April already.  I'm so happy because this week is only 4 days of work, we have off for Good Friday and my kids are home all next week for Spring break.  I hope you all had a great weekend.  Mine was nice, it went way too fast.  My son tried to go see the Hunger Games Friday night and it was sold out.  I can't believe how popular this movie is.  Went to the mall and Barnes & Noble.  I picked up Adele's first album 19, I love Chasing Pavements so much!!! 

Before I share Renee's album, I wanted to share my April Photo A Day pictures.  I decided to do this photo project separately from my daily pictures and make a collage for my PL album.
